Des explained various and complex techniques that he uses to achieve his stunning Japanese influenced abstracted landscapes, Jim explained the processes involved making his puppets – many from recycled materials and we ended up with a serious “putting the world to rights” discussion over tea, coffee, scones and biscuits all provided by Jean, and then headed off just round the corner to see Penny Price’s and Ruth Hardings Helfa Gelf shows, finally heading for home at 4.40pm
Fabulous hospitality, interesting and informative discussions and a great afternoon all round. Huge thanks to Des, Jean, Jim, Penny and Ruth.
Jim, Des, Penny and Ruth are all taking part in the Helfa Gelf Art trail and will be in their studios to welcome visitors over the next three weekends. For details go to Helfa Gelf website:http://www.helfagelf.co.uk/en/artists/?artist=Des+Jones
