· We’ve held some very successful Feature Artists Exhibitions this year, both in Studio A1 and recently in The Dunbabin room at The Willow Gallery complex. In every case the press have sought us out and published the event.

The Dunbabin room – ongoing

· Artists belonging to the Inside Out Art group have been invited to exhibit in the Dunbabin room for half of every year. We are soon to have an interactive calendar to make planning/communication between Faye and us easier.

Action: There are terms and conditions – please contact Diana for details

· The next feature artist at the Dunbabin is Sue Mann whose show begins on Friday 3rd June. She will be supported by Shaphan who is curating the show.

Heulwen, Anne, Chrissy, Chris, Bex and others.

Please bring your works to the Dunbabin room from

9.30 onwards on Wednesday 1st June, (unless you

have arranged otherwise.)

Action: If you would like to show in this gallery at some

point please remind Diana by email again.

Studio A1 – until end July

· After the multi-venue The Way exhibition in July, Studio A1 will be changing its name, be open every afternoon and provide all the artists in the Cambrian Studios Building (including John and Diana) with gallery and project space. (Inside Out Artists will then use The Willow gallery Café for get-togethers and crits. We are hoping to make these a regular bi-monthly happening

Action–please let us know your preferred days and times.

“Inside Out goes to Ellesmere” (SPACE) in June

· Installation of this exhibition is on Tuesday 7th June. If you are one of the 14 artists involved and need to make arrangements about your work, please get in touch ASAP. Lucy, Brenda, Rob, Anne, Hannah and myself will be there to install the works from 10.0 am onwards on 7th. Diana will have Inside out blank labels on card.

Action: Please bring your work and the hanging fee of

£10 cash with you, (if you have not already given it

to Diana), or get both to her before then.

“The WAY” in July

· Installation of the Way works is on various days from Monday 27th June onwards. (With thanks to the Vicar of St. Oswald’s, Simon Thorburn, we are also using the church for one significant piece of work by Chrissy and Jim.

· Tereska Shepherd also holds workshops there and in the Willow Gallery itself. See Inside Out blog for details.

3.Meetings and crits

These have been great, but we have not had as many as have been requested. We can stage more regular meetings in The Willow café after July.

Action: Let us know your best days and times asap.

4. Membership

5. Blog

Can this possibly be true? Art students are telling us that they have heard that this beautiful building, where fabulous art experiences happen, and where I had some of the best years of my life following a BA in Fine Art (Yes, along with several others got a First in 2010) is due for the chop! If this is the case this is a very sad day indeed. Has anyone else heard this rumour, or knows more about it? Please get in touch.

Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to buy a stunning piece of original glass art for your garden!!

Glass Fusion Ahoy!!

Today we had a stimulating glass fusion demo from Rachael Montgomery. Everyone enjoyed the day and learned a lot. It was attended by students, practising artists, as well as the general public.Thank you Rachael for lightening our lives with your lovely glass works of art, and sharing some of your experiences and knowledge. Rachael’s work is on display at Studio A1 for one more week – next Weds and Sat. After that you will be able to see some of her work in The Willow Gallery in June and some pieces,  as well as those from glass artist Philippa Hughes, will be on display with Tony Robert’s work in Studio A1 throughout June.

Rachael also hosts jewellery parties!!!! Get in tough if you feel like treating yourself and yours friends.

Don’t miss Rachael’s FREE  demo this coming Saturday from 11.0-2.0 at Studio A1, just behind Sainsbury’s.

(we all loved Flip’s bead-making demo last Friday)

You will also be able to see their stunning glass works that are on display there until the end of May – open Weds and Saturdays from 10.-4.0

Rachael’s work – all lit up!!

Two more paintings from Emily!

We are now displaying two more pictures by Emily – in the picture at the bottom is Emily’s finger painting called “Flower”. Her work is on display with work by Heulwen, Elizabeth Anne, Mo and Jas.

Everyone who attended today was impressed by this demo. Warm thanks to Flip for preparing it. Thanks also to Tony for also sharing a glimpse of his glass studio and his works.
