North Wales Urban Sketchers did a day at Chester Cathedral when the sculpture exhibition was on and it went very will, good venue and warm! Suggest people who want to avoid paying for parking park in Handbridge and walk down, not far and you can usually park in the side streets. NW Urban Sketchers meet on the first Thursday.
Ooh thanks Sonia! Where do NW Urban Sketchers meet, btw, and do you have “room” for any more?x
Was this a Monday or Tuesday option. If I’m free, I can take 3 with me Happy to travel. I live in st martins now

Hi Des – I presume you mean Chester? That’s certainly my favourite. We’ll wait to see what they reply to my online enquiry. Diana
I’d like to join you. I’ve just forwarded news of a reduced fee to sketch in Shrewsbury Museum the first Sunday of the month. That sounds fun. I’d be equally happy with all the options you mention. Another one is St Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury. Do you know it? It has a stupendous collection of stained glass, bought as a collection by a vicar in the late 19th C. Bits of medieval, 18th Century (I think from the Netherlands). There’s a volunteer there who is an expert on it and will give an informal talk if you can find her. The church is no longer used as a church, its run by a trust and volunteers. Just a thought. Josie
Great ideas for the future Josie – a first Sunday at Shrewsbury Museum would certainly make sense, but I too favour Chester for the next outing. Hil
