Here are the details of some exciting upcoming events at the gallery:
Willow Weaving Workshop
On Saturday 10th November 1 – 4pm
Professional willow weavers Helen and Kalvin Stanley will be coming to the gallery to teach you how to make your very own willow sculpture. £8 including materials.
Life Drawing Classes
Every Wednesday 6-30 – 8.30 pm
Experienced teacher and artist Shaphan Cole focuses on different aspects of capturing the human form each week. £8 a session.
Last Chance to see the Bead by Bead Exhibition
The beautiful exhibition of hand-crafted jewellery by Brenda Day will be ending on the 17th November so make sure you don’t miss the chance to pick up a completely unique Christmas present!
Art History Gallery Trip:
A chance to explore the finest galleries in Liverpool with the Willow Gallery. Full details below:

The Willow Gallery would like to invite you on an exciting and inspiring day out to Liverpool’s best galleries.
On Friday 16th of November we will be departing at 08.40 from Gobowen, to spend the day taking in some wonderful collections of art and enjoying the city.
We’ll be visiting the Lady Lever, Tate Liverpool and the Walker, and of course stopping for lunch. Later we will have the chance to continue on and visit some of Liverpool’s most contemporary and innovative galleries, admire the impressive architecture or make a start on Christmas shopping.
The price of £6 covers the art history content for the day which will be provided by Felicity Woods, Art History Teacher, Anthony Smith, Gallery Manager and Art Teacher and Tereska Shepherd, Gallery Curator and Art Teacher. Transport and food costs are up to the individual so as to give everyone freedom of choice.

The timetable includes meeting times so that everyone will be free to explore the galleries at their own pace if they so wish.


Art History Gallery Trip

We will spend the day in Liverpool visiting three of the major galleries, with an option to see more for those who wish to continue, and coffee and cakes for those who want to put their feet up!

The trip will feature introductions to some of the most fascinating paintings in the collection from Anthony Smith, Willow Gallery Manager and Art Teacher, Tereska Shepherd Gallery curator and professional artist, Felicity Woods, Art History Teacher, and Shaphan Cole Art teacher and professional artist.

The price is £6 which covers the Art History content of the day. Transport and food are not included. Meet at the station or meet at the Gallery at 8.15 (Call to let us know which)

Meeting and travel: The best option is to buy a return to Chester and a Wirral line ticket from Chester which will allow us to get on and off the train at Port Sunlight for the Lady Lever Gallery.

16.30             Choose from the following activities: Blue Coat Gallery, Liverpool Museum, The Maritime Museum, Fact (Contemporary Art Gallery), Christmas shopping, Coffees or beers on the Liverpool Docks while we chat about art and other things.
