Ellesmere College are the proud owners of Judy Greaves “Seat of Learning” that now graces one of the lawns. Inside the college, at the first of an annually planned art exhibition (on till this Sunday), are a beautifully displayed and illuminated collection of works by local artists. (pictured are Judy’s latest relief stone carving of Adam and Eve, Diana’s painting called “Sorting the Dog” and Ros Hornbuckle in front of her stunning tapestries.)

A treat not to be missed are some original illustrations by the guest of honour Martin Aitchison who brought colour to the reading lives of past generations in many of the Ladybird books, in particular Janet and John.

As well as feasting the eye, those visiting are able to enjoy an Art Exhibition afternoon Tea between 3.0 and 5.0pm, and/or an Art Exhibition Luncheon between 11.30 and 2.0pm and an Art Exhibition Bistro menue served between 6.0 and 8.30 pm. and all sounding delicious and very reasonably priced.
