Two quick sketches done with charcoal pencil in the rain. The first formed an initial print on the adjacent page, over which I drew a second nearby view…Something to plan to do intentionally perhaps on a future rainy day…..

They’re lovely, Diana. I sometimes prepare sketchbook pages with splatters and daubs of washed-out ink or charcoal and then do ink sketches on them when they’re dry – allowing myself to be half led by the splodge-y background.
