The Willow Gallery would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2012 and invite you to the Preview of our new exhibition TORQUE this Friday at 7pm.
This exhibition has already raised a lot of interest and would be an interesting feature in the advertizer. Many of the artists will be at the preview on Friday and also in the gallery on Saturday if a photographer would like to take some photographs of the artists and transformed gallery.
Exciting things have been happening in the gallery for the start of 2012 with a vast exhibition space being created in the main gallery ready for the much talked about TORQUE exhibition.
The Willow Gallery is still remembered by many as ‘The Roy Evans Garage and Car Showrooms’; TORQUE will take on this history, exhibiting new work from artists drawn from the whole of the West Midlands region, inspired by notions of the ‘car’ and ‘carness’: The machine as art : Art as a machine.
Please join many of the exhibiting artists for the Preview of this unique exhibition on Friday 6th January from 7-10pm, Friends and family are welcome as well, spread the word – Torque is not to be missed!
Well known artist Jim Heath will be starting his second large scale painting in the gallery on Saturday the 14th of January and giving a special talk at 2pm about his artwork, techniques and inspiration. Tickets for this event are on sale in the gallery shop and can also be bought on the day.QUE
